Charlie is a respected session player, having worked with Sir Paul McCartney and Tina Turner, but is perhaps best known for his 13 year stint recording and touring with Sir Elton John.
In 1985 his drumming work with Nik Kershaw attracted the attention of Elton John, who went onto book him to play on his Ice on Fire album. Later that year John invited him to play with his band at Live Aid and that was the start of a thirteen year period of recording and touring with John.
Charlie's resume reads like a who's who of pop music with performances with Paul McCartney, Tina Turner, Cher and the Moody Blues, among many others. Charlie has over 150 album credits and has appeared on numerous international TV shows and movie soundtracks
"I am loving the maple kit! It's incredibly versatile and sounds as good on stage as it does in the studio."
