Twenty five years after watching Adam & The Ants on TV and shouting at his parents, "Mum, Dad I want to be a Rock ‘n’ Roll drummer", to many parents those words would comprehend a nightmare, but luckily for Matt his parents bought him a drum kit.
Now to any young aspiring rock drummers and musicians out there Matt’s musical journey has not been an easy one. There have been many highs and lows over the years in his own personal rock ‘n’ roll musical extravaganza. The pathway for success as a rock drummer is by no means an easy affair and will no doubt contain many hazzards and pitfalls along the way as the music industry is a tough one. Dedication, hardwork, belief and sheer determination are just some of the attributes needed in the crazy world of rock ‘n’ roll to succeed and the saying ‘never give up” will no doubt prevail.
Matt Goom is the drummer for England’s finest Rock ‘n’ Roll band The Quireboys. The band are about to unleash their unique brand of musical mayhem once more.
