A straight grained wood, Ash is tough yet flexible, ideal for making snare drums. Using Ash as inner ply and composite laminate produces a highly responsive shell with bags of attack. Ash has a short resonance with clipped sustain which give toms extra power, punch and projection.
Ash shells are 6 ply and are available feature exclusive PET wrap finishes.
