Bubinga is a highly figured hard tropical timber with a predominantly straight interlocking grain, widely chosen for its looks as well as its bright response.

Due to its density Bubinga maintains balanced resonance throughout all ranges of tuning and has an underlying richness and depth of tone that makes it a popular choice with professional drummers. Bubinga shells are 7 ply and are available in many high gloss lacquer and sparkle finishes. Each tom has two die cast Natal badges featuring the ‘Sun’ logo. The bass drum also features a wood I.D. badge.
