Natal wood snare drums are available in the same material and finish options as Natal kits: Ash, Birch, Maple, American Walnut and Bubinga with a choice of thirty one different wraps, high gloss lacquers and sparkles.

Natal wood snares are fitted with the same Tru-Tune tension rods, hand polished lugs, 2.3mm chrome hoops and die-cast ‘sun’ logo badge as all Natal drums, and are built to the same high standard of quality. Wood snares, as with all Natal snare drums, feature the unique Tri-Throw, three position, snare throw-off.

All Natal wood snares have an even, 45 degree bearing edge which is hand finished with bees wax; this reduces friction with the head resulting in brighter overtones and more effective sustain. A waxed bearing edge also makes tuning easier and more accurate.

Natal wood snare shells are of ply construction and have staggered butt joints with an excellent interior surface which remains untreated for a smooth, silky finish--the finer a shell’s interior finish the greater its resonance.
