ALANNAGH DOHERTY

Alannagh Doherty is the driving force on drums of Derry-based indie punk band CHERYM. 

Initially a guitarist, Alannagh started drumming at the age of 16, joining various metal and punk bands around Derry City. She joined CHERYM in 2019 and has since performed internationally, from the UK to Europe and even North America.

CHERYM has gained a reputation for being full of energy and carrying magnetic performances wherever they go, and have have been called a ‘breath of fresh air’ in the alt-rock scene. They have been included in festival lineups such as Truck, Latitude, and Electric Picnic, played the main stage 2000Trees, and racked up support slots with the likes of Enter Shikari, Sleeping with Sirens, Nova Twins, Bob Vylan, and The Beth’s.
